Human-approved deployment promotions

Read rollout status where Argo is configured, open a deployment approval gate, and promote a paused rollout only after a person approves. AI never promotes on its own.

What it does

Status, a gate, a human-approved promotion

Rollout status

Read rollout and deployment status where Argo is configured, so a deployment gate is grounded in the real state — scoped to your tenant.

Deployment approval gate

Open a deployment approval gate so a promotion is a deliberate, attributable decision — not something that happens unobserved.

Human-approved promotion

Promote a paused rollout only after a person approves the gate. AI never promotes on its own.

Rollback-aware visibility

Surface abort and rollback-aware status where Argo is configured, so the team sees what the rollout is doing during the gate.

Scoped & gated

Promotion runs only through the approval gate, under the configured Argo access, so FixControl can only act where you’ve explicitly allowed it.

Evidence & audit

The promotion decision is recorded with actor, role and evidence, so the rollout history and the decision ledger agree.

Capabilities & health

Capability-level status, not one green checkmark

Argo may be connected for status read while the promote path depends on configuration and a human approval. FixControl shows each capability’s health honestly.

Read rollout / deployment status
Configuration-dependent

Available where Argo is configured and reachable. Status reads ground the deployment gate in the rollout’s actual state.

Open deployment approval gate
Supported

FixControl opens a deployment approval gate as a recorded, attributable step, so a promotion is always a deliberate human decision.

Promote a paused rollout
Configuration-dependent

Available where Argo is configured, and only after a human approves the gate. The promotion is dispatched via the outbox with retry and dead-letter handling.

Abort / rollback-aware visibility
Configuration-dependent

Surfaced where Argo is configured to report it, so the team can see abort and rollback state during the gate.

Autonomous production deploy
Not available — by design

FixControl never promotes on its own. Promotion only happens after a human approves the deployment gate — there is no autonomous production deploy.

Single green ‘connected’ status
Not available — by design

By design. Argo may be connected for status read while the promote path is unavailable. FixControl surfaces capability-level health instead of a single green checkmark.

How failures are handled

Promotion only after a human approves

Outbox, retry and audit
AI never promotes a rollout on its own; a person approves the deployment gate first. The promote action then routes through the integration outbox with retry and dead-letter handling, and any failed provider action is visible in the operational timeline. The promotion decision is written to the decision ledger with actor, role, channel, evidence and consequence.
FAQ

Common questions

Does FixControl deploy to production on its own?+
No. AI never promotes a rollout on its own. A person approves the deployment gate first, and only then is a paused rollout promoted. There is no autonomous production deploy.
What does FixControl need to promote a rollout?+
Argo must be configured and reachable, and a human must approve the deployment gate. Without the approval, the gate stays open and nothing is promoted.
What happens if a promotion fails?+
The promote action routes through the integration outbox with retry and dead-letter handling, and the failure is visible in the timeline rather than silently dropped or assumed successful.
Can FixControl roll back automatically?+
FixControl surfaces abort and rollback-aware status where Argo reports it, but promotion and rollback decisions stay with your team — they are human-approved, not autonomous.
Are deployment promotions audited?+
Yes. The promotion decision is written to the decision ledger with the actor, role, channel, evidence shown and the consequence, so the rollout history and the ledger agree.
